IF YOU WANT A DIFFERENT COLOR, JUST WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU NEED IN THE SALE NOTES AT CHECKOUT. IF I CAN'T DO IT, I WILL CONTACT YOU!!!!
This is not for sales, this is my only way of providing explanations and updates for the store. This platform does not provide much space for direct communication, so ignore the $1000.00. I have to give a cost to be able to post this, that is, unless you want to give me that much for this, then I won't stop you. :P
Firstly, I DON'T DO METALLIC colors at this time. I used to work in a bronze foundry. I came home everyday covered in bronze dust and my neck and wrists had a green patina from the metal. I welded and "chased" small and large public sculptures. This entailed a lot of grinding and sanding. And, while I used respirators, it still took its toll. Due to this, I have built up an aversion to really fine metal dust. I do have the additives on hand, but I get skin and breathing irritation from them, and it's not pleasant. Also, my resins are custom made here locally, they are not off the shelf mixes. The store bought gold and silver flake additives do not mix well and can come out blotchy in castings. I know other cast shops use these additives, if you want "metal" castings, please contact them for this service. For now, I will not be using them, sorry, but got to remain healthy to fulfill orders and not take any chances. My casts take paint really well, brush or rattle can. I'd advise you to go this route with my casts if you want a metal effect.
If you want a different color than what is shown in the photo's, then that is ok most of the time. Just keep in mind, I only have one mold for most items. So, If I cast black one time, and then cast orange the next time, it's possible that some specks or an errant flake of that previous color could show up somewhere. I can't keep remaking your item to make it perfect, color wise. If it's something really obtrusive, then I'll make a decision whether or not to recast it. Obviously, if there's a physical flaw in the cast, I will always redo that. If I miss one, please reach out to me. Keep in mind, I mix the color while casting, I have very few premixes set aside. There's just too many to always keep on hand. It's also possible, due to mixing, that a streak of white, brown, black, etc could show up too. Please note this risk. Some molds are reserved for specific colors such as clear or white, but that is only limited to a few items.
You might notice there are tags like "Please state color in sale notes at checkout" after the product title. I stopped putting that there because my title texts are limited, and I have that policy on everything, so it's kinda dumb to write that anyway. Again, IF YOU WANT A DIFFERENT COLOR, JUST WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU NEED IN THE SALE NOTES AT CHECKOUT. This may or may not increase shipping times, it just depends on what you need changed. If I can't do it, I will reach out to you. If you don't hear from me, then all is good, no worries.
